Crabs are being caught from the pier and boats not much surf action with the rain. Boats are still producing the most crabs call or stop by to reserve them for the holiday weekend.

Crabbing from the skiffs remains good with catches of 2-3 dozen per boat. Snapper fishing in the bay is excellent and fluking has been good inside the inlet. Small blues in the 1-3# range are also being caught around the sedges…John

Lots of bait in the waters off Ortley Beach this morning. Also saw a few cow-nosed rays in the waves just off the beach. Crabbing remains good and snapper blues are providing plenty of action for light tackle fisherman…John
