The local guys were catching some bass to 30″ this morning on mostly tin squids, ava’s and some clams. They were fishing just north of casino pier to Lavalette. Phil Lagrossa also weighed in a 28.80 lb bass a few hours ago. Scott

Just got reports that the are catching fish all over seaside beach on clams, and getting bass down by the pier every cast on ava’s. Scott
I know they are getting some bass again in the ortley area on clams and also heard of some bluefish being caught on bunker down around area 7 on the island. We still have fresh bunker and clams and almost positive that we are going to be getting more clams later. Scott
The fishing continued to be great all day long. Loads of bass were landed on clams and a bunch of big bluefish also hit the sand on fresh bunker chunks. Shop regular pizza Al was fishing up in Mantoloking beach early this afternoon with vision sandeels “black back” and took bass up to 38″. Great [...]
Just had the first fish weighed in for the day by Jeff, a nice 10lb eater taken on a clam.
Well the majority of the fish are continuing to be caught on bait. Last night we received another shipment of fresh clams and also a load of fresh bunker. We had some bass weighed in yesterday. Phil Dirt and Robin had 4 bass to 31″ on clams. Chris LaGrossa weighed in a 18.20 lb bass that also fell for a clam bait. Ricky just arrived at the shop with a fresh load of clams…John
Just what to let everyone know we just received a shipment of fresh clams, they just came off the boat one hour ago. We have fresh bunker coming ,they should be here by 6.00pm. Most of the larger fish being caught are on bait.
