Fishing Report

If you were waiting for a perfect day to hit the beach well this is it! Favorable winds and a late morning high tide all play right into the surf anglers hand today. Fluke fishing has slowed a bit with a pesky ray every now and then is where we are at right now. The crabbing in the bay is also off its feverish pace due to a shed around the full moon this month. Hot crabbing should return within a few days. Snappers are doing well with many a young angler limiting out on these great eating little guys… John Yac

FYI >>> There has been some confusion lately over the time our café starts serving our delicious food in the morning. (7:00 AM) is our every day starting time while closing time in the late afternoon may vary.

Fishing Report

Still some nice fluke activity in the surf from Lavallette to the north thru IBSP to the south. The north jetty in the park still has a few short bass at first and last light mostly on small swimmers and thin metals. Small to keeper size fluke move in and out of the pocket with the tide. Cow nose rays seem to be increasing in numbers right now. No word on night time sharking to speak of. Crabbing remains good in the bay! Snapper blues are also holding there own… John Yac

Fishing Report

To spite the weather and bad surf conditions of the past few days, fluke fishing is still good! With a good forecast for the next several days, the surf fishing conditions will only improve. Remember we have live killies in stock along with pre-cut squid. Crabbing remains real good with plenty of snapper blues to go around… John Yac

Fishing Report

The unsettled weather of the past several days has been playing havoc on the surf angler. The times when there was no rain and manageable winds produced some nice keeper fluke in IBSP. Not to sound like a broken record but the bucktail gulp combos fished with a gulp teaser is still the number one way to go for these great tasting flatties. Crabbing remains strong both from our rental boats and from our dock. Snapper blues are keeping the kids and adults alike occupied when crabbing is not their thing… John Yac

Fishing Report

The morning bite has been good with some feisty short bass chasing thin metals. Fluking remains good if you can just get your presentations passed all those cow nose rays in the surf right now. Crabbing remains hot! Snapper fishing is good… John Yac

Fishing Report

The great weather forecasted for the next few days should provide the surf angler with some great fishing conditions. Fluke are still present in the surf in good numbers while the number of shorts seems to be increasing, there are still plenty of nice keepers to be had. Stick to the bucktail gulp combos with a single gulp above as a teaser. Crabbing from our boats and off the dock remains strong with snapper action increasing daily… John Yac

Fishing Report

Fluke and cow nose rays are dominating the surf bite right now. Night time sharking is a bit slow. Crabbing in the bay is still very good, with nice catches being made by boat and shore bound crabber alike. Snapper blues are in… John Yac

Fishing Report

The surf action is definitely in summer mode now. Fluke remains the most abundant fish available to the surfcaster with the occasional short bass and small bluefish now and then. The night time tides have been producing some outstanding shark fishing if you happen to find yourself in the right spot at the right time. Large cow nose rays are also in the mix on both daytime and nighttime bites. The bay remains loaded with nice size crabs both off our dock and rental boats. One lucky crabber caught a 7″ beauty yesterday, now that’s a keeper! Snapper blues are increasing both in numbers and in size out back. Remember we have LIVE KILLIES in stock!… John Yac

Fishing Report

Looks like sand eel time may be starting early this season. We are getting some reports of sand eels in the wash along our beaches. This could be the reason the fluke have moved in close to the beach. Small bass have also been in this mix. It just may be thin metal/teaser time, it’s definitely worth a try. Snapper blues are stating to show out back… John Yac

Fishing Report

More of the same was going on out there yesterday. Good surf conditions today. The light N.E. wind forecasted for today will give you a little white water to work with. Most of all, there should be no flies with the N.E. winds, that’s always a good thing when spending time on the beach during the summer months. Crabbing by boat remains off the charts, with the dock out back holding it’s own. Some small snapper blues have started to show also… John Yac
