New Blackfish Regulations

The new rules increase the size of legal blackfish to 15 inches and set the following seasons and bag limits: Four fish from Jan. 1 to Feb 28; Four fish from April 1 to April 30; One fish from July 27 to Aug. 31; One fish from Oct. 18 to Nov. 15; Four fish from Nov. 16 to Dec. 31.

Guys there is alot of fish around ISLAND BEACH AND producing nice size keepers every day.The boats are are limiting out everyday. The boats fishing for black fish are doing outstanding at the barnegat reef, fish in the teens are regular. We still have our christmas sale going on, gift certificates 60.00 cards for 50.00 120.00 for 100.00.We have new custom rods on sale that were just built. Our new hours of operation will be 7am until 8pm starting Jan. 2nd . The cafe is now closed Mondays and Tuesdays. They will be opened 7am till 2pm wed. thru Sun. Well fishing is back to being fabulous again. A completely new body of fish has moved in the last 2 days. Keeper bass are being caught everywhere on the beach from brick to Ibsp. I just came back from ortley and the birds are going nuts about 200 yds out. I hope you didnt pack your stuff away yet because fishing is back and back in full swing. Scott

Hit IBSP again this morning with Tom.. Wind was NNW and the water was starting to get dirty… Fished for about 3 hours, had 6-8 bass between us including a 15# fish for Tom. All fish today hit metals… The teasers were not productive probably due to poor water clarity… We had reports of fish caught sporadically throughout the park… I cruised SSH around noon and saw a few fish caught on the north end of the boardwalk too…John
